Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne to host 2 Iranian films

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA – Iranian films 'Night Tree' and 'Chair Beside a Window' both directed by Foroud Avazpour will be screened in the competitive section of Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne, Australia.

The films which were earlier showcased in Fajr Film Festival as well as Tehran Film Festival will represent Iran's cinema in the upcoming event slated to be held from December 12-19.
The two films deal with social concerns and peaceful coexistence of human beings.
A humanistic view and using the international pictorial language are among the reasons behind the flicks' success in the other festivals.
Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne will host 100 films from 40 countries in the two sections of competition and non-competition.
The Phoenix Film Festival Melbourne is interested not just in films with potential commercial success but films of artistic merit and scope.
