Two civilians injured in two landmine explosions in western Iran

Qasre-Shirin, Nov 25, IRNA -- Two civilians were seriously injured in separate explosions of landmines remaining from 1980-1988 Iraqi imposed war, Police commander of Qasre-Shirin Colonel Enayat Fallahi said on Wednesday.

Speaking to IRNA, he said one of the landmines exploded on vicinity of Qala Sabzi village where a farmer was injured while plowing his fram.
In another explosion at Khosravi border post, another civilian sustained critical injuries when his shovel hit the landmine.
The two injured civilians were taken to hospitals for medical treatment, he said.
Qasr-e Shirin with over 27,000 inhabitants has some 186 kilometer of common border line with Iraq and during eight years of war had been occupied by Iraqi forces for two years.
