Speaking to the Arabic-language Al-Ahad news website, Afkham elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran's government approach for strengthening security and stability in the region, and said, 'Over past two years, Iran has always pursued the expansion of cooperation in different areas with its neighbors with good will and interest.'
'Of course, this cooperation has been at different degrees from each other and they have made good progress, but there is still a long way to the desired point and all countries should cooperate with each other in bid to achieve the desired level of cooperation,' the Iranian foreign ministry spokeswoman said.
She pointed out that under the present conditions that the region and the regional crises and more importantly the threats emanating from terrorism and extremism the traces of which can be seen at the European borders all indicate that cooperation is neded for passing through this crisis and entering a new era.
