Nobakht confers with his Indonesian counterpart over expansion of relations

Jakarta, April 29, IRNA – Vice-President Mohammad Baqer Nobakht and his Indonesian counterpart Jusuf Kalla, in a meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday, called for further expansion of ties.

Nobakhat is in Indonesia to attend a meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).



During the meeting, Nobakht referred to Iran's high capacity in the area of energy, advanced technologies and technical and engineering services, voicing Tehran's readiness to enhance economic relations with Jakarta.



He called for felicitating banking relations between the two countries.



The Indonesian vice-president, for his part, said that Indonesia has made significant progress in new technologies and Iran, on the other hand, enjoys an enormous capacity in the area of energy and that expansion of cooperation would benefit both sides.



Kalla called for implementation of economic agreements between the two countries, including an agreement on constructing a factory to produce fertilizer in Iran.
