Iranian airline buys Boeing 757

Tehran, April 22, IRNA – Reza Abdollahpour, managing director of Taban Air Company, announced the purchase of a Boeing 757 on the closing days of the year 1393 (early 2015) and said the aircraft made flights on different routes to relocate Norouz (new year) passengers.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he said this is the first Boeing 757 aircraft which joins the commercial fleet of the country and the second Boeing will be added to the Taban Air fleet by next month.

He further said that the plane has 220 seats equipped with audio-visual facilities, adding that the airline is intended to use this type of aircraft in the renovation of its fleet.

As for the observance of regulations about the rights of air passengers, Abdollahpour said with regard to the implementation of the regulations, it was examined in a meeting which was also attended by minister of road and urban development and it was decided to revise in its shortcomings.

However, he said that implementation of the regulations seems not to be in the interest of the airlines but since it further emphasizes the rights of passengers, airlines are bound to observe it.
