Pakistan FM official optimistic about nuclear deal between Iran, 5+1

Islamabad, April 2, IRNA – Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said her country was optimistic about a nuclear deal between Iran and the 5+1.

In answer to a question by the IRNA correspondent here on Thursday, she expressed hope that the negotiations between Iran and the six world powers would come to a favorable result.

She said that Pakistan as before believes in negotiations as the only solution to Iran’s nuclear issue and said that given the intensive talks underway in Lausanne Islamabad is hopeful about their positive outcome.

As for the news about an upcoming visit by the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Islamabad, she said things will be announced the moment such a visit is fixed.

She also rejected some claims that the crisis in Yemen was the outcome of the tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

She stressed that the issue of Yemen should be settled only through dialogue.
