Mohammad Reza Ansari said that the Iranian exporters have successfully won the trust in the Iraqi market and they would do more for further confidence building to ensure the market share.
Mohammad Reza Ansari said that the situation in Iraq is very appropriate for the Iranian engineering services suppliers. Iraq is in need of reconstruction and engineering services and they trust the Iranian suppliers.
He said that Iran's potential technical and engineering service exports is 25 billion dollars each year while the importers of such services can absorb some 40% of that capacity, while proper management of the issue can lead to full application of that capacity.
Ansari said that there are currently certain obstacles in the way of expanding cooperation with Iraq in this field, including presence of the Daesh terrorists, insecurity and the heavy costs of campaign against insecurity.
'Administrative evolution and establishment of a solid management, as well as organizing the local and foreign investments and devising sets of rules and regulations are now underway in Iraq. The Iranian companies can assist the Iraqis,' added the export association chief.
Ansari said that there are many Iranian companies working in Iraq, contributing to the 70% share of the Iranian technical and engineering companies' share there thanks to the very friendly bilateral relations.
The Road and bridge construction, water, electricity, gas, pipelines, refineries, airports and power stations are the broad spectrum of the infrastructure needs of the day in Iraq; he said.
