Zarif, Lavrov discuss Iran's nuclear issue in Dushanbe

Dushanbe, Sept 12, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Friday met and discussed issues surrounding Iran's nuclear program.

During the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the 14th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit underway in Tajikistan's capital, the two foreign ministers also discussed the latest regional developments.

They talked about what's going on in Ukraine and the terrorist acts perpetrated by the self-proclaimed Islamic State militants in Iraq.

Zarif and Lavrov also reviewed the political situation in Afghanistan following the country's disputed election.
