Int’l Quds Day rejuvenate Muslims world wide: Indian scholar

New Delhi, July 24, IRNA – International Quds Day, which was designated with the last Friday of Ramazan by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, rejuvenate Muslims across the globe to pressurize Israeli Regime for an end to occupation of Muslim lands and denouncing its atrocities on innocent Palestinians, said a renowned Indian Shia religious scholar Thursday in New Delhi.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Dr. Hasan Komeli, President of Idara Tafheem-e-Islam said: “By observing Quds Day as an important event, the entire Muslim ummah can be united. And by forging unity they can exert pressure on Israeli Regime to stop butchering the people of Palestine and forcing it to vacate the illegally occupied holy land.'

He said that our sacred place, Beit-ul-Muqaddas is illegally occupied. Innocent Palestinians including women, children and elderly were falling victim to Israeli invasion.

“Observance of Quds Day is the socio-religious duty of Muslims across the globe to extend solidarity with the Palestinians in their sufferings,” Dr. Komeli added.

Noting that the recent attacks at Gaza is the worst human crisis created by the inhuman, violent and disproportionate use of force by Israel is not a war but a genocide, religious scholar urged the Muslims and all peace, freedom, and justice loving people to join the Int’l Quds Day rallies, protests and demonstrations.

“Raise their voicec against Israeli Regime’s naked aggression and a design to further occupy the Palestinian territory.'

He further said that Israel, which is the enemy of humanity, must realise that its barbaric acts will no longer accepted in the world and it must retreat. Replying to the question, How we can do this?

Dr. Komeli said: “If on Quds Day Muslims across the globe unitedly would rise up and shout out they would be victorious. And if we followed Imam Khomeini’s this stance, we can achieve the victory”.
