Steinmeier: I can't predict result of the negotiations

Vienna, July 14, IRNA – German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, after meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif here on Sunday, said he could not predict result of the talks between Iran and Group 5+1.

He told reporters on Sunday evening that currently the ball is in Iran's court.

He went on to say,'Now, I cannot precisely say that the negotiation will lead to a result or not.'

Steinmeier said, 'With my counterparts from France, US and Britain, we tried hard to convince Iran that solving nuclear issue is beneficial for Iran.'

He added that this may be the last chance to peacefully settle nuclear issue.

Steinmeier continued that Iran should take decision whether it wants to cooperate with the world community? We asked Iran to think about it.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials and members of the nuclear negotiating team had repeatedly declared that it is the other side, which should take hard decisions.

Zarif wrote in his personal page on twitter that confidence is a two-way road and for access to an agreement, concerns of all sides should be considered.

He had already warned West not to lose current opportunity for negotiating with Iran.

Foreign Ministers of Germany, France and Britain as well as US Secretary of State arrived in Vienna on Sunday morning to consider progress of talks called Vienna 6.

Steinmeier, after holding meetings, departed Vienna for Berlin.
