IAEA Board of Governors to hold extraordinary session on Iran

Moscow, Jan 24, IRNA – Russian state run News Agency 'Itar-Tass' has reported that upon a request from the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano, IAEA Board of Governors holds an extraordinary session on Iran on Friday.

It is expected that representatives of 35 member states of the IAEA Board of Governors, in their meeting, approve a practical plan to consider Iran's nuclear program.

The plan has been presented by the IAEA secretariat in direction of strengthening nuclear agreement achieved by Iran and Group 5+1 in Geneva.

An informed official in the agency secretariat, who asked not to be named, has told Itar-Tass that IAEA action plan concerning Iran's nuclear program has already been prepared and it is expected to be approved.

He added that the plan is upon political agreement achieved on November 24, 2013 between Iran and member states of Group 5+1 in Geneva and it contains a list of practical steps, which would be a base for experts working agenda.
