Pakistani MP urges US to abide by Geneva Agreement

Islamabad, Jan 15, IRNA -- A Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) on Wednesday asked US to abide by Geneva Agreement without showing any animosity towards Iran.

Talking to IRNA, Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has already exposed the US hostility against Iran in nuclear talks.

In a meeting with thousands of people from central province of Qom, the Supreme Leader said that the nuclear talks proved US hostility towards Iran and Islam and victory will be surely achieved through resistance.

Sherpao said that there is no justification of hostility towards the Islamic Republic after the deal is reached between West and Iran. “US should abide by the agreement in letter and spirit,” said the MP.

Former interior minister expressing his views said that that change in western approach towards Iran meant complete failure to Zionists' anti-Iran policies.

Head of Iranˈs Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO), Ali Akbar Salehi has said Iran is committed to its obligations in Geneva Agreement, adding that in this framework the IAEAˈs inspectors will travel to Iran on January 18.

Sherpao said that Iran has sincerely signed an agreement with the West. “Iran has assured the world that its nuclear program is peaceful and it has no intention of developing nuclear weapons,” said the lawmaker.

The MP stressed the western powers to lift sanctions from Iran because they are sheer violation of human rights.

He went on to say that the Geneva Agreement would bring peace and stability in the world as well as in the region.

Welcoming Iran’s nuclear deal the political leader said that it is good to see that West has started respecting Iran’s basic rights.

“Naturally the deal would ensure peace in the region,” said Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao.
