Anti-Islam policy harming US credibility in the world: MP

Islamabad, Jan 11, IRNA -- Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) on Sunday said that US anti-Islam policy, exposed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is harming the credibility of America in the world.

Talking to IRNA Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi said that US must stop pursuing the policy of double standards which could become a double edged weapon for them.

In a meeting with thousands of people from central province of Qom, the Supreme Leader said that the nuclear talks proved US hostility towards Iran and Islam and victory will be surely achieved through resistance.

Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi said that what the Supreme Leader has said is an eternal truth. “US has been pursuing anti-Muslims policies in the world,” said the politician.

He added that there is no justification of American allegations against Iran because the country has assured the world that its nuclear program is peaceful and it has no intention of developing nuclear bombs.

The lawmaker said after the decree of Supreme Leader against use of nuclear weapons there is no reason left to doubt the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. “Iran is a peaceful nation and will never develop nuclear weapons,” said the Senator.

He said that it is good that US and western countries have entered into a deal with Iran but the US has to quit the policy of double standards to make the agreement successful. “US must show goodwill towards Iran,” said the MP.

He was of the view that the US anti Islam policy is harming its credibility adding that the country is pursuing self serving politics.

Senator Mashhadi went on to say that Muslim nations are fully aware of American anti-Islam approach so the US should stop following aggressive policies against Muslims.

He asked US to lift sanctions from Iran as a trust building measure.

He added that Supreme leader is absolutely right in saying that US is the biggest violator of Human Rights adding that world has become a global village and the actions of US are not hidden from the world.

“Look what they are doing in Afghanistan and Syria, they are even providing arms to Zionist Regime to kill innocent Palestinians, so how they can call themselves as champions of human rights,” said the lawmaker.

“US is not worried about the atomic bomb of Zionist Regime but they are showing concerns on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program which is unfair,” noted the Senator.

He said that some analysts call US as the biggest terrorist. “On one hand they are fighting against Al-Qaeda but on the other they are supporting Al-Qaeda in Syria,” he said.

Senator Mashhadi said Americans have to review their aggressive anti-Islam policy which could become double edged weapon for them.
