Iran denies IAEA opening office in Tehran

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA – Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) spokesman on Sunday denied a plan speculated by Reuters that International Atomic Energy Agency is mulling setting up an office for its inspectors.

Behrouz Kamalvandi said that the issue of opening an office in Iran by IAEA has not been mentioned during the talks between Iran and IAEA as well as the Group 5+1.

Kamalvandi said that he has not heard such a thing at all, he wondered about the source and aim of the news release.

Although IAEA inspectors visit Iran regularly to verify peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, they do not have special office.
