Lebanese envoy: Zarif will travel to Beirut on Monday

Tehran, Jan 11, IRNA - Lebanese new Ambassador to Tehran Fadi Haj Ali said here on Saturday that the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will travel to Beirut on Monday (Jan 13).

Talking to IRNA, Haj Ali asserted that Zarif will be informed of the available information about the recent terrorist attacks that targeted the Iranian embassy in Beirut.

While in Beirut, Zarif will hold talks with top Lebanese officials on the terrorist blasts in front of the Iranian embassy as well as the arrest and death of Saudi terrorist leader Majed Al-Majed detained for the twin attacks against Iran’s Embassy in Lebanon, he noted.

He said both Iran and Lebanon are victims of terrorist attacks on the Iranian embassy in Beirut, adding the Lebanese government welcomes Iran's assistance to the investigation process regarding the terrorist operation.

He said the investigation over the Beirut terrorist attacks has not is still continuing.
