South Korea parliament speaker to visit Iran soon

Beijing, Jan 11, IRNA – Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea Kang Chang-hee will visit Iran in near future, Iran’s Ambassador to Seoul Ahmad Masoumifar announced on Friday.

Iran’s diplomat and Chang-hee held a meeting in the South Korean capital during which Masoumifar submitted message of Iran’s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Chang-hee inviting him to visit Tehran.

During the meeting, the two also reviewed ways to promote bilateral parliamentary relations.

Welcoming the invitation, Chan-hee, expressed hope that he would pay a visit to the Islamic Republic soon.

Referring to the November 24 Iran-5+1 deal, he said South Korea welcomed such a nuclear agreement and described the deal as important.

He further said the South Korean companies are ready to invest in the Iranian markets.

He noted that the two should make efforts to pave the way for fostering bilateral ties.
