Zionist conspiracies against Iran, failed: Pakistani MP

Islamabad, Jan 9, IRNA – A member of Pakistani Parliament on Thursday hailed Iran-5+1 nuclear agreement adding that the Zionists’ conspiracies to isolate Iran have thus failed.

Talking to IRNA Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel of, Awami National Party (ANP) said that Iran, being a signatory of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is entitled to develop the nuclear technology and nobody can deny that right.



“The deal between Iran and western powers is a major development and would ensure world peace and security,” he said.



January 20 has been proposed for implementing the Geneva agreement and both sides are making preparations for it.



Majid Takhte-Ravanchi, the Iranian deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs has said that Iran’s technical nuclear talks with the Sextet are almost finished and a couple of remaining issues are in need of decision making by the two sides’ politicians.



Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel opined that it is evident from the Geneva deal that the West and particulalry the US have accepted Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology.



He went on to say that Iran considers the development and use of nuclear weapons as un-Islamic. “Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons, it is just propaganda of Zionists’ against Iran,” said the MP.



The lawmaker added that Iran under new government has made the world to recognize their rights. “I am hopeful that sanctions would be lifted from Iran very soon,” said the politician.



Haji Muhammad Adeel also said that the adoption of World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) act by the United Nations General Assembly is a major achievement for Iran.



On December 18, President Rouhani’s WAVE proposal was ratified at the UN General Assembly with 190 positive votes. The WAVE Act calls on all nations across the globe to denounce violence and extremism.



The Iranian President made the proposal in an address to the UN Disarmament Conference in New York on September 25.



Haji Muhammad Adeel added that Iran is a peaceful country and wants to play an active role for restoring peace and stability in the world.



The Senator was of the opinion that the adoption of WAVE act has proved that the world is standing with Iran and conspiracies to isolate the Islamic Republic have been failed.



The legislator noted that the approval of the act is a success for the Iranian foreign diplomacy.



The politician meanwhile said that Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project should be implemented to end the energy woes of the Pakistani people.
