Iran wins 3 medals in Intl. Alpine Skiing

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA – Two male and one female Iranian skiers on Sunday, the first day of the International Alpine Skiing event, grabbed one gold, one silver and one bronze medals to win a ticket for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Hossein Saveh Shemsaki and Pourya Saveh Shemshaki won the gold and silver medals respectively of the Men’s event, while Mitra Kalhor won the bronze medal of Women’s event, held in Tehran from January 5-8, under supervision of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

A total of 36 male and female skiers from Turkey, Greece, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Hungry, Bulgaria, Mexico, Lebanon and South Africa have taken part in the competitions.
