Tehran to host 27th Int'l Islamic Unity Conference

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA – The 27th International Islamic Unity conference to be held in the Iranian capital on January 17-19, 2014.

The conference will focus on the holy Quran and its role in consolidation of solidarity among Islamic Ummah (nations) as well as the issue of Palestine.

Scholars and think tanks from 50 world states are to take part in the event.

Representatives from Malaysia, Russia, Greece, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Algeria, Britain, US, Australia, Uganda, Tunisia, Netherlands, Qatar, Yemen and Egypt will be among participants in the conference.

The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is to hold the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.
