Bomb blast kills two in SW Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 4, IRNA – Two people were killed and several others injured in a bomb blast in south western Balochistan’s Sibi town, local media reported on Saturday.

The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital for medical assistance.

According to Levies personnel, the bomb was planted in a motorcycle.

No group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.

Balochistan has been under the grip of sectarian violence and attacks of Baloch separatists and unknown elements since more than a decade.

Scores of people have lost their lives in sectarian suicide bombings and target killings.

The provincial government appears to be helpless in tackling the growing threat of terrorist incidents.
