Geneva deal most crucial event of 2013: Russian official

Moscow, Jan 2, IRNA - Chairman of Iran-Russia Friendship Group said here on Thursday that the Geneva interim agreement reached between Iran and the group of sextet was the most important development of 2013.

Talking to IRNA, Alexander Polischuk underlined that the agreement has paved the way for peaceful settlement of the dispute over Iran's nuclear program.

He asserted that the Geneva agreement was the outcome of great efforts made by Tehran and the international community in the past 10 years aimed at seeking an appropriate solution to the dispute.

He described the agreement as a balanced document serving the interests of both parties.
