Pakistan condemns two bomb blasts in Russia

Islamabad, Jan 1, IRNA - Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack at Volgograd train station in the Russian Federation which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam in response to a question regarding the terrorist attack‚ said that Pakistan opposes terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.



“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack at Volgograd train station which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries,” the spokesperson said in a statement.



She extended condolences to the families of the victims and sympathized with all those injured in this barbaric act on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan.



Russian officials say that the death toll from the two suicide bombings in the southern city of Volgograd Sunday and Monday has reached 34, while dozens more have been injured.



No one has yet claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks.



Russian authorities have increased security in and around Volgograd in the wake of the bombings, reports said.
