Zarif: UK names non-resident charge d’affaires to Tehran

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Monday that the UK has named its non-resident charge d’affaires to Tehran.

Zarif made the remarks in an interview with Mehr news agency when asked about his meeting with British Foreign Secretary William Hague regarding determination of the non-resident diplomats.

“In Geneval meeting we focused on nuclear subjects. I had a very brief meeting with Mr. Hague too. He came for talks along with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and after the session we discussed briefly bilateral issues. I don’t think any basic problem does exist.”

In the meantime, Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi held talks with Sir Simon Gass, former UK ambassador to Tehran.
