FM to visit France for UNESCO Forum next week

Tehran, Oct 30, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is to pay a visit to France to attend a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization forum to be held in Paris next week.

The UNESCO is headquartered in Paris.

After his Paris visit, the foreign minister will depart for Geneva, Switzerland where the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the sextet (the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany) is scheduled to be held on November 7-8.

Zarif met his French counterpart Laurent Fabius on the sidelines of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York last September where the Iranian and French presidents also held bilateral talks.

France is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a member of the six major countries known as Group 5+1 negotiating with Iran over the nuclear dispute.
