Larijani sees bright prospect for nuclear talks

Beijing, Oct 30, IRNA – Iranian Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said here Wednesday that the prospect of nuclear talks between Tehran and the group of sextet is bright.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Chinese businesspersons in this capital city.

He lauded diplomacy of the new Iranian government and said its diplomatic activities are promising.

He said President Hassan Rouhani’s administration tries to face challenges through constructive negotiations.

The Islamic Iran, he said, has never been seeking nuclear weapons.

On Tehran-Beijing relations, Larijani said Iran sees China as a major regional and world country.

He further described Iran and China as centers of peace and security in Asia and voiced Tehran’s readiness to further promote ties with friendly China.

Referring to Chinese willingness to widen relations with Iran, Larijani said he is to review ways to promote trade cooperation during meetings with top Chinese officials.

Larijani, heading a delegation, arrived here on a four-day official visit on Tuesday.
