Zionists' conspiracy to isolate Iran, failed: Analyst

Islamabad, Oct 27, IRNA – A Pakistani researcher on Sunday said that Iran-5+1 nuclear talks are moving in a positive direction and the Zionist Regime’s conspiracy to isolate the Islamic Republic has been failed miserably.

Talking to IRNA, Dr. Zafar Iqbal Cheema said that change in western attitude towards Iran is the success of Iranian diplomacy.

“Iran’s steadfastness has forced western powers to change their approach towards the Islamic Republic,” he said.

The analyst was of the view that the talks would help Iran and West to remove differences as they are moving in a positive direction.

He said that phone call by US President Barack Obama to Iranian President Hassan Rohani is a major development and would help solve Iran’s nuclear issue.

The researcher said that western countries have not been able to produce any evidence against peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.

He went on to say that Iran is a peace loving country and has been fully cooperating with international organizations regarding its peaceful nuclear program.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal Cheema expressing his views said that Zionist Regime is against any compromise between Iran and West regarding Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. “Zionists want to see tension between Iran and West which is in their interest,” noted the scholar.

He, however, said that change in western attitude towards Iran has proved that Zionists' conspiracy to isolate the Islamic Republic has been failed.

The analyst added the Zionist Regime is making all out efforts to stop West from accepting Iran’s peaceful nuclear right. “They (Zionists) are worried about the positive developments in Iran’s nuclear talks,” said the intellectual.

He added that Zionists’ aggressive strategy against Iran has failed.

Answering to a question, the scholar said that western states have made up their mind to lift sanctions from Iran. “I think sanctions would be lifted in next round of nuclear talks,” he said.

Zafar Iqbal Cheema has been Professor of Defence & Strategic Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University. He has written extensively on a wide range of issues related to Pakistani security and has participated in many international conferences.
