Leak of auxiliary Maroon oil pipe under control

Ahvaz, Oct 25, IRNA – Leakage of one of the auxiliary transferring oil pipes of Maroon Oil and Gas Company, which belongs to South Oil-bearing district, came under control in less than two hours.

According to the report of public relations office of South Oil-bearing District Company on Friday quoting production manager of the company the incident happened on Thursday morning on the west bank of Jarrahi River located in the Ramshir district.

Ramin Hatami said that necessary machineries and equipments for repairing pipes and controlling pollution were dispatched immediately.

Simultaneously with repairmen of the pipe, necessary actions to collect leaked crude oil in the area were done, he added.

Hatami said that it is estimated that around 250 barrels of crude oil has been leaked in the area, but by deploying necessary equipments the oil is cleansing totally from the river.

He added that now members of repairing and operational units are securing the pipe.
