Ambassador: Geneva talks' success depends on G5+1’s political will

Paris, Oct 15, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Paris Ali Ahani said that success of the Geneva talks is related to the preparedness and political will of the six world powers, stressing that the Iranian team of negotiators is fully prepared for the purpose.

“The success of the Geneva meeting depends on preparedness and political will of Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain, France and Germany) as I can see this readiness in the Iranian delegation,” Ahani said in an interview with Radio France International on Tuesday.

The Iranian ambassador to France pointed to the constructive interactions intertwined with mutual respect with the other world countries by the new Iranian government, and said, “As you know after the presidential election a new atmosphere opened in Iran and Mr. Rohani and his government announced their readiness for promotion of talks with a new openness and a new negotiating team was chosen for nuclear talks.”

Ahani said that the Iranian president has vowed to the Iranian nation to resolve this problem within the next few months and try to revoke or reduce the sanctions that have been illegally imposed on the Iranian nation which has already created certain problems for the country.
