China upbeat about positive mood of Iran-G5+1 nuclear talks

Beijing, Oct 15, IRNA – Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Tuesday expressed hope that the new round of nuclear talks between Iran and Group 5+1 in Geneva will yield good results.

As representatives of Iran and the six negotiating governments resumed nuclear talks in Geneva Tuesday, Chunying told a press conference that China hopes that both sides will seize the opportunity to reach an agreement.

China continues to believe that dialogue is the only way to solve the dispute over Iranian nuclear program, she said.

Geneva talks give a chance to both sides to find a proper and doable solution to the issue, she added.

She voiced china’s readiness to cooperate with all the negotiating governments to make constructive efforts to settle the issue.

Resumption of fresh round of talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 was widely covered by Chinese media, IRNA reporter in Beijing said.

President Hassan Rouhani launched diplomatic campaign against the western governments in his address to the 68th session of the UN General Assembly over the arbitrary sanctions on Iran and termed their measures as ""violent"" and to the detriment of international peace and security.
