Ashton spokesman voices optimism over new round of talks with Iran

Geneva, Oct 15, IRNA - Michael Mann, spokesman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said here Tuesday that they had started the negotiation with optimism and were looking for tangible results.

A few hours after the start of negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1- the US, Britain, China, France and Russia plus Germany- Mann told reporters that the group of sextet were seeking tangible outcome.

Mann added that the atmosphere of the two-day talks is different from those of the past.

Iran, he said, has presented a new plan the details of which will be discussed.
