Diplomat urges 5+1 to be realistic

Vienna, Oct 15, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Switzerland advised the group of sextet to be realistic about the today nuclear talks with Iran.

Ali Reza Salari made the remarks in an interview with IRNA Monday evening.

Salari said the Group 5+1- the US, UK, France, Russia and China plus Germany- should recognize Iran’s rights to enrich uranium within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) regulations.

The diplomat described the today nuclear talks as a serious round of negotiations since the inauguration of the new Iranian government.

Pointing to Iran’s influential position in the region, Salari called on the six countries to change their past approach towards Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday to attend the opening session of the fresh talks between Iran and the group of sextet.
