Iran launches entertainment TV channel iFilm in English

Tehran, March 12, IRNA - Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Ezzatollah Zarghami inaugurated Iran’s 24-hour entertainment and movie TV channel iFilm in English here Tuesday.

Zarghami said the iFilm TV channel will create a great opportunity to showcase Iran's capabilities in various areas, particularly in the film and drama sectors.

He stressed that the channel would play a pivotal role in introducing the Iranian culture and customs across to the world nations.

Despite sanctions imposed by enemies launching of iFilm channel indicates the IRIB's ability to carry out its plans to serve national and international audience.

Initially launched in August 2010, iFilm presents dubbed Iranian films and serials to the world. The channel has already been airing movies dubbed in Arabic.
