According to the MoU, which was signed by Seyed Ja’far Hejazi, Governor General of Khouzestan Province, and Khalaf Abdulsamad Khalaf, Governor General of Iraqi Province of Basra, the two sides would develop their cooperation in the fields of tourism, shuttle of citizens of both provinces through sea border, construction of border temporary mini-mall, construction of housing in Basra, passing transit merchandises through Iraqi territory, agricultural goods, exchanging university students and exporting engineering services.
