The festival focusing on children audience is seeking to promote creativity of children by screening films by the well-known directors.
The decision was announced at the opening ceremony and assistant director of the film Maryam Hajirvand received the award on behalf of the film's cast and crew.
The film has so far been screened at festivals in Qatar, Shanghai, South Korea and Japan.
'Painting Pool' has also received UNESCO Award at Asia Pacific Festival.
Shahab Hosseini, Negar Javaherian, Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaei and Sepahram Farzami are in the cast of the film.

Tehran, Oct 19, IRNA – Iranian film 'Painting Pool' directed by Maziar Miri was selected as the best feature film at the ongoing Second Sharjah International Children's Film Festival which opened Sunday.
