Masoud Nasseripour, the event's executive secretary, said the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology will organize the gathering in collaboration with Shahid Beheshti Medical University.
He added that the congress will mainly focus on corneal diseases, refractive errors, cataract surgery, retinal diseases, ocular aberrations, neuro-ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastic surgery and glaucoma.
The expert further said nine symposiums and 35 workshops will be held on the sidelines of the congress, adding that 25 lecturers from the US, France, Kuwait, Turkey, Swiss and Singapore will attend the event.
Keynote speakers at the event include Dr. Karl C. Golnik from Cincinnati Eye Institute, USA, Dr. Cameron F. Parsa from Madison, Wisconsin, USA, Dr. Manal Bouhaimed from Kuwait University, Kuwait, Dr. Tin Aung from Singapore National Eye Center, Singapore Dr. Misha Pless from Zurich, Switzerland, Dr. Ramin Tadayoni from Sorbonne, Paris Cité University, Paris, France, and Carl P. Herbort Jr from Laussane, Switzerland.
