The festival featured sections which included best musicians, publishers, song writers, concert producers and music composers.
Farhad Fakhreddini, a renowned Iranian composer, conductor and founder of Iran’s National Orchestra, was honored for his lifetime efforts to improve national music.
Addressing the event, Fakhreddini thanked his family and his music instructors for supporting him.
Hossein Alizadeh won the first prize for the best genuine traditional music album. Mohammad Motamedi, Pouria Akhvas and Raheleh Hosseini collaborated with Alizadeh as vocalists.
The album titled ‘Sarbedaran’ by Fakhreddini and Bijan Kamkar was awarded the first prize in fusion music section.
The albums titled ‘Emperor’ and ‘Fall in Love for a Moment’ by Mehdi Yarahi and Hamid Hami were selected as the best pop music albums in the ceremony.
‘Neither Angel, Nor Devil’ and ‘You Are the Rain’ and ‘The 11th Dimension: Rumi Symphony’ were selected as the best genuine traditional Iranian music and best fusion music albums by the audience, respectively.
Also, Farzad Farzin won the first prize for the best personal album selected by the audience.
Traditional Iranian music pieces were performed in the ceremony.
Ali Qamsari, Sohrab Pournazeri, Arsalan and Ardavan Kamkar, Keivan Saket and Pejman Hadadi were awarded as the best Iranian music instrument players.
Winners of the best foreign instrumentalists included Omid Hojat, Babak Riahipour, Homayoun Nasiri, Ali Jafari-Pouyan, Hooman Namdari and Atena Eshtiaqi.
Sadreddin Hosseinkhani was selected as the best producer.
Mohammad-Hossein Totounchian was awarded as top concert producer.
First prize for the best arrangement went to Reza Tajbakhsh.
Also, veteran Iranian singer, Simin Qanem, was honored for her lifetime music achievements.
