Baku to host 9th Iran-Azerbaijan joint economic commission meeting

Tehran, August 2, IRNA - The 9th Iran-Azerbaijan joint economic commission meeting is to be held in Baku this week in the presence of both sides' officials.

According to the public relations department of Iran's embassy in Baku, the joint economic committee is the outcome of agreement inked between two sides presidents.

Duringa a recent visit of the Azeri president to Tehran, the two sides agree to increases current level of trade exchange between the two countries.

Iran's Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi will lead the Iranian delegation to the joint commission meeting in Baku.

In the upcoming meeting, the two sides are to explore grounds for expansion of mutual cooperation and removal of existing obstacles to promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Some 50 Iranian companies are to partake in the joint economic commission meeting in Baku.

A group of businessmen from public and private organizations will accompany the Iranian minister during the visit.
