Justice minister writes to NAM counterparts on human tragedy in Gaza

Tehran, July 30, IRNA – Justice Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi in a letter on Wednesday called on his Non-Aligned Movement's (NAM) counterparts to stand up to the Israeli war crimes and pave the way for punishment of the perpetrators.

Referring to Israeli crimes against humanity in Gaza, he noted that the Zionist regime has under empty excuses bombards civilian targets from the air, ground and the sea, killing or maiming the Palestinian youth and children.

They have deliberately hit the civilian targets regardless of the Geneva Conventions about the military operations in war and hostility which ban attacks on civilian targets.

Such acts are considered stark examples of war crimes and subject to punishment by the International Criminal Court.

Pour-Mohammadi contended that Zionist regime's ongoing crimes derived from the fact that its crimes against humanity in the past 66 years have gone with impunity and negligence of the international tribunals.

The crimes against humanity amount to negligence of the lofty human values, international justice and the international law, he said.

He said that the Zionist regime is threatening international peace and stability.

The minister called on his NAM counterparts to stand unanimously against the Israeli war crimes demanding justice to be exercised by the respective international tribunals.

Iran is the current leader of the Non-Aligned Movement.
