Two tourism buses for Tehran’s district 12

Tehran, July 27, IRNA -- Two tourism buses will be launched in Tehran Municipality’s District 12 in the second half of the current Iranian year (Sept. 23, 2014-March 20, 2015), said managing director of Tehran Bus Company.

Monday edition of the English language newspaper Iran Daily quoted Peyman Sanandaji as saying that the two buses are to familiarize tourists with the history of ancient monuments and cultural centers in Persian, English and Arabic.

Sanandaji also said the buses work from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

They are active on two loop routes. One route starts from Imam Khomeini Square, crosses 30th Tir Street, Jomhouri Street, Shahid Mostafa Khomeini Street, Sarcheshmeh Junction, Amir Kabir Street and terminates at Imam Khomeini Square.

Historical monuments such as Post Office, Abgineh Museum, National Majlis Building, Adrian Fire Temple and National Garden Gateway are located on this route.

The other route stretches from the southern end of Imam Khomeini Square, passes Khayyam Street, Molavi Street, Sarcheshmeh Junction and terminates at Imam Khomeini Square.

Ancient sites such as Tehran Bazaar, Bank Tejarat historical building, Bank Sepah ancient building, Golestan Palace and Khanat Caravansary are located on this route.
