Human tragedy in Gaza, big test for so-called advocates of human rights: Shamkhani

Tehran, July 27, IRNA – The human tragedy in Gaza is a big test for the so-called advocates of human rights, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Sunday.

He made the remarks in a phone call with the Hamas Leader Khaled Mashal.

Iran would continue to utilize its diplomatic capabilities to show the brutal nature of Zionist regime in the war against Gaza people, he said.

He underlined that history will not forget brutal killing of defenseless Palestinian women and children by the Zionist regime.

Congratulating Palestinians' significant resistance to the Zionist regime raids on to Gaza, Shamkhani reiterated Iran's full support for the resistance movement.

Borders of humanity and barbarism are determined by one's support for oppressed people of Gaza or the occupation forces of Zionist regime, he underlined.

Mashal for his part asserted that Palestinians are victorious over their Zionist enemies as God Almighty has promised.

Hamas leader thanked Iran's supports and asked Muslims to be united against the Zionist regime.

He said that the Zionist regime's disproportionate bombardment of the civilian targets in Gaza from the air, land and the sea account for crimes against humanity and the war crimes.

More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 5,000 others injured in the Israeli offensive on Gaza since July 8.
