Lebanon PM lauds President Rouhani's stance on Gaza

Beirut, July 26, IRNA – Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam on Saturday welcomed a recent message by President Hassan Rouhani in which he strongly supported the resistance of Gazans against the Zionist regime's aggressions.

In a meeting in Beirut with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Salam hailed Tehran's efforts to put an end to Israeli offensives on the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Iranian diplomat voiced Tehran's full support for the government in Beirut.

Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that Lebanon could resolve its problems, particularly those related to its security without outside intervention.

Amir-Abdollahian is in Lebanon at the head of a high-ranking delegation for talks with Lebanese officials on the humanitarian plight in the besieged Gaza Strip.
