Fajr theater festival director appointed

Tehran, July 26, IRNA - Ardeshir Salehpour has been appointed director of the 33rd Fajr International Theater Festival.

Salehpour was appointed by Hossein Taheri, director general of the Performing Arts Center in a decree recently.

Born in 1957, Salehpour holds a PhD in art research from Arts University. He is a writer, researcher, director and theater instructor.

‘Gramophone and Performance’, ‘Puppets and Masks in Ancient Iran’ are among his publications.

Salehpour is a member of the National Association of Theater Critics and has directed numerous puppet theater festivals so far.
