Iran deputy FM arrives in Beirut

Beirut, July 26, IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and North African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Saturday.

Upon arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport, Amir-Abdollahian was warmly welcomed by a number of senior Lebanese officials and Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mohammad Fatahali.

While in Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to hold talks with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam and Foreign Minsiter Gebran Basil on issues of mutual interest, the regional developments particulalry in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, ways to fight terrorism, Israeli attacks on Gaza and means of supporting the Palestinian nation and the Resistance Movement.
