Quds Day ralliers condemn Israel worldwide

Tehran, July 26, IRNA - 'Iran Daily' on Saturday commented on Friday's unprecedented number of Iranians and advocates of defenseless Palestinians, not only in the country, but across the globe, who took to the streets to support the oppressed people in the Gaza Strip.

The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was declared the International Quds Day by the founder of the Islamic Revolution late Imam Khomeini.

Imam Khomeini paid undivided attention to pursuing the rights of Palestinians and called on all Muslims and non-Muslims to sympathize with the people in the occupied territories, added the English-language daily in its Opinion column.

The outrageous atrocities being perpetrated by Benjamin Netanyahu’s regime have given rise to the significance of this year’s anti-Israeli protests.

Both Muslims and non-Muslims, regardless of their religious and ethnic affiliations, held massive rallies to support the resistance discourse, highlighted the paper.

The genocide-like heinous crimes committed by savage Israeli regime in Gaza have drawn the ire of people, prompting them to chant anti-occupation slogans and call for all-out efforts to halt the ongoing murderous attacks on Gaza.

Since 1948 when the brutal regime came into existence in the Middle East, vicious attacks by the occupying entity have replaced security and peace in the region.

Although the Tel Aviv regime openly violates human rights in Gaza, the West has failed to defend the rights of defenseless Palestinians.

Not only Westerners, but also certain Islamic governments, have remained silent on the ‘genocide’ committed by Israel.

Disappointed at UN and other international organization’s efficient move, people from different walks of life across the globe took to the streets Friday to have their protest voices heard.

The message was clear. They urged the so-called human rights advocated and international bodies to stop the bloodshed perpetrated by the Israeli ruthless leaders and end the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

The large-scale rallies have demonstrated the hatred of an overwhelming majority of people against Israeli crimes that have thus far killed over 819 and injured 5200 Palestinians.

Also, the brave Palestinians defied the curfew in Gaza and held anti-Israeli protests.

The Palestinians are valorous enough to resist the occupiers and will spare no efforts to drive the invaders out of their motherland.
