Millions of Muslims commemorate World Quds Day worldwide

Tehran, July 25, IRNA - Millions of Muslims around the world are holding rallies on Friday in support of the Palestinian people simultaneous with the World Quds Day.

The international day is an annual event to voice opposition to the Zionist regime occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas.

It is an occasion for all freedom-seeking spirits and human rights advocates to

express solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.

The Quds Day rallies this year coincide with the bloodshed of the Gaza defenseless people by the Zionist regime which started on July 8 and has resulted in the death of nearly 800 Palestinians and over 30 Zionist soldier.

Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for 18 consecutive days now, injuring more than 4,600 others.

According to the UN, 77% of the victims in Gaza are civilians and defenseless people.

Since July 8, Israeli warplanes have been carrying out incessant airstrikes against Gaza.

On July 17, thousands of Israeli soldiers launched a ground invasion into the densely-populated Gaza Strip.
