URGENT - Gaza school struck by Israel: 15 dead, 150 injured

Cairo, July 24, IRNA -- At least 15 Palestinian people were killed on Thursday, including a baby, when Israeli tanks opened fire on a UN-run school in northern Gaza.

A UN official confirmed there were "multiple dead and injured" in the attack on a school in the city of Beit Hanoun.

The facility was being used by the United Nations as a shelter for hundreds of Palestinians fleeing a major Israeli operation in the area.

At least 150 people were injured in the blast.

IRNA reporter said that it is the fourth time a UN facility has been hit during the Israeli offensive.

Reporters in Gaza say that Israel is pursuing ethnic cleansing in Gaza and deliberately seeks to take heavy tolls on the civilians enjoying support from Washington.
