Foreign Ministry urges world Muslims to support Palestinian Resistance Movement

Tehran, July 24, IRNA – Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement issued on Thursday, urged the Islamic world to support and defend the Palestinian Resistance Movement.

The statement noted that the Resistance Movement is defending Islam in an unequal battle against state terrorism and the racist regime of Israel. "The Quds Day, is an eternal reminder of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini, for all Muslims and freedom-seekers across the world."

The initiative is an opportunity to manifest the power of the Muslim Ummah in supporting the Palestinian aspiration and declare disavowal from the occupying policies of the Zionist regime as well as the arrogant powers' support for their brutal actions, it added.

The oppressed Palestinians are witnessing escalation of the Zionists' brutal attacks on Gaza and killing and injuring of hundreds of defenseless people in the holy fasting month of Ramdan, the statement added.

The Zionist regime is making endless efforts to Judaize the Holy Quds and change the Islamic identity of Bait-ul-Muqaddas, it emphasized, adding that the Palestinians are witnessing daily brutal attacks on the Muslims' first Qibla.

The late Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramdan as the day to support the rights of the Palestinians and liberation of the Holy Quds.
