Iran, Iceland call for enhanced fishery cooperation

Tehran, July 23, IRNA – Iran and Iceland on Monday underlined the necessity to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of fishery.

The decision to enhance fishery cooperation between the two countries was made during a meeting in Tehran between Icelandic non-resident ambassador to Iran Gonar Pulsen and Managing Director of the Iranian Fisheries Organization Hassan Salehi.

The two sides explored the possibility of cooperation on fish culture as well as fishing of shrimp and different kinds of fish.

They also agreed to exchange expert delegations to prepare the ground for implementation of mutual agreements.
