Tehran, July 23, IRNA - The festival of Happy Kids, the ninth of its kind, is scheduled to be held July 28-August 1 concurrent with Eid al-Fitr in Tehran.

The event seeks to increase hope and awareness, help children to get acquainted with fundamental concepts of life, gain self-confidence and boost creativity, wrote Wednesday's edition of the English-language paper 'Iran Daily'.

The participants will learn how to develop good communication skills, which is believed to be essential to the kids’ personality development.

Organized by an NGO named Ta’ali Institute, the event will bring children together to train them to be kind, empathetic, caring and responsible. The festival features a wide range of performances from games, entertainments, artistic workshops and educational classes to exhibition of educational devices. Each of the days has been designated with a special title including ‘The Night of Wishes ‘, ‘The Sunny Days ‘, ‘A Trip to Land of Effort ‘, ‘Excitement ‘, ‘Brightness’, ‘Hope’ and ‘Gratitude’.

Psychologists and kids specialists have been consulted about the themes of festival and the activities and performances needed to achieve pre-planned goals.
