Syrian speaker: Recent events aim to distract Muslim countries from their main goals

Tehran, July 22, IRNA – Syrian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Laham said on Tuesday that recent events in Syria and Iraq are aimed are aimed at distracting Muslim countries from their main goals.

Addressing the PUIC Troika Meeting, al-Laham said Daesh and its deviating ideology is in line with Israel's state terrorism.

He said Iran has always stood beside the Palestinian people and the oppressed Muslim nations.

On Iran's policies on Palestine, he said Muslim Ummah is not in a good condition nowadays and enemies have mobilized all their facilities against the oppressed Palestinian people to change the fate of Muslim Ummah.

"Discord among Islamic countries has increased increased this encouraging westerns to further pursue thier decisive policies against the the Muslim Ummah."
